EXPLORER
Lorenzo Barone

Born in San Gemini, Umbria, 26 years ago, he rose to prominence after biking across Siberia in winter, plowing its frozen rivers.
A lone explorer, he has also traveled by bicycle through the Sahara, and recently throughout Africa. In about 8 years of adventures, he has traveled more than 100,000 km crossing 64 countries. He has slept in minus 56 degrees and cycled in temperatures of 48 degrees above zero.
On cross-country skis he crossed icy Iceland in winter, meeting no people for more than 13 days. With kayaking he went as a child, and in the summer of 2023 he circumnavigated the island of Elba; with an instructor he learned some additional techniques that might be useful to him in future adventures.
