A water-repellent layer applied to the fabric ensures light protection from external humidity.
The fabric prevents the wind from penetrating, reducing the risk of getting cold.
The synthetic padding ensures warmth even in humid conditions
2-layer super-light nylon fabric (61 g/sq.m) laminated with an ultra-thin windproof waterproof (15,000 mm water column) and breathable (15,000 g/sq.m/24h) polyurethane membrane. The high-density construction of the fibres guarantees excellent mechanical performance and abrasion resistance. The DWR coating guarantees long-lasting performance, even after numerous washes. ANTIUV: UPF50+.
Thermore Ecodown® offers the advantages of synthetic insulation with the soft touch properties of down, allowing for compact garments that offer maximum freedom of movement to be created. Last but not least, the softness does not limit the durability of the product: even Thermore Ecodown® features Thermore®'s exclusive fibre migration treatment and can be machine washed or dry cleaned. It is manufactured with full respect for animals and the environment. Despite the efforts of the apparel industry to move towards a more sustainable and cruelty-free approach, recent market research reports that 80% of cold weather clothing is still insulated with duck down. This is mainly due to the lack of a synthetic solution that provides the same look as down. Thermore® is taking the first step towards sustainability by releasing a revolutionary blown-in product: Ecodown® Fibers. Ecodown® Fibers ensure the same loft as high-quality 90/10 down and can also be blown into a garment. The loft of down products is calculated with the fill power test: fibres are blown in a cylinder and their volume is measured. The higher the fill power, the puffier the jacket. Tests performed on Ecodown® Fibers have reported an outstanding fill power of over 600, which is how the product is able to guarantee that puffy look that was only achievable with the best down until now. Moreover, this insulation is incredibly durable: its one-of-a-kind multi-shape structure prevents the fibres from clumping when washed. Not only are Ecodown® fibers animal-free, but they are also made from 100% recycled PET bottles. Every jacket insulated with Thermore® fibres allows up to 10 post-consumer bottles to be recycled. Along with a warm feel, the insulation achieves an extremely soft touch without the use of microfibres, which would contaminate oceans and, ultimately, our own food.
PERTEX® QUANTUM (36 g/sq.m): products made in PERTEX QUANTUM® have the optimal mechanical performance to weight ratio. This ultra-light product is as soft as silk, extremely compressible, with excellent abrasion resistance and offers protection from external moisture, wind and rain: the fabric does not get wet and dries quickly, thanks to the special DWR coating, which guarantees lasting performance, even after numerous washes. ANTIUV: UPF50+.
Comfortemp®: Ultralight polyester insulation (60 g/sq.m) that provides thermal insulation, the utmost lightness and freedom of movement. The special construction prevents fibre migration and it is easy care. This innovative insulation combines the advantages of down and synthetic padding in a quality that has not been achieved before. This thermal insulation is higher than conventional padding while being as light and soft as down. Comfortemp® is an innovative alternative to down, with optimal breathability and it holds its shape even after washing, ensuring no cold spots.
